Here I am, standing proudly next to my Mom's watercolor of two California Bears.
I'm Becky White, a UC Berkeley Alumna (Go Bears!), a parent whose kids went to local public schools, and someone who have lived in Berkeley and nearby east bay communities for over three decades. I have over 25 years experience in the field of housing counseling with a focus on Berkeley. A licensed Realtor Associate® with the California Department of Real Estate, I have provided effective house-hunting tips and strategies to literally thousands of newcomers to the east Bay Area.
In addition, I have knowledge to answer questions to help you get settled in your new community: public transit and shopping information, where to have fun, school or summer camp information for children, etc.
My specialties are:
- Helping students transition from residence halls (dorms) to their first rental off-campus. This includes advice to students and parents/guardians;
- Assisting grad students who are relocating from other places;
- Counseling prospective or new faculty and other employees on their home purchase (no sales pitch--this is completely neutral) or rental prospects;
- Providing information to newcomers and visitors of all sorts to expedite their searches for a rental, including sabbatical homes and other temporary types of housing.
Even if you don't count yourself among these types of people, send in the Contact Questionnaire anyway and give my free service a try!
All the best,
--Becky
